Hello viewers this week for math we did shapes and geometry. We got to make things out of the shapes like Cars, Animals, Houses basically anything you like. We used shapes such as Parallelogram, Square, Red tangle, Octagon, Hexagon, Heptagon, Circle, Oval, Trapezoid and Rhombus I don't know if I missed any other shapes but we had to make a item or car or animal. I made a car it was REALLY hard I will first show you the plan then what it turned about to be. It was fun but hard at the same time, Making it was fun, but making it look like my plan was hard it was nothing like it you will see what I mean. This week was fun I hope you enjoy my beautiful art work C:

Hello viewers This weeks writing about the time we went on camp. It was a fun time I don't know really what to say about it but enjoy my camp story!
Camp Recount
October 27, Today was the day, the day Ruru (my class) goes to camp! Everyone got to school early in the morning. We played around until the bell rang. We did the roll and jumped on the bus everyone was so excited but first we had to wait a 45 min ride. Once we had arrived we sat down for morning tea until we realized we had to do another 1 hour 30 mins or so walk but luckily we got to learn about Maori stuff along the way to living springs and it was pretty fun. After a while of walking we arrived at a farm and there were Pigs/Peppa pig and chickens. We sat to eat lunch but everyone was petting Peppa pig because they were adorable and fun to play with, after that you could say we “hiked” to living springs and once 1 exhausted classroom arrived everyone was so glad. We got a bit of free time to explore the place and set up our bunk rooms and my bunk buddies were Blake A, Emmett, Aiden, Te hari, Vern and me. After a while we all went into the main room aka the auditorium and we did a fun and exploring activity I like to call surviving with a team. Ok whatever lets move on so basically you have to find these hidden numbers on the map and you have to go find them on foot. There was 12 number to find we gladly found 10 in 45 mins but we still didn’t win anyways after that I could smell the yummy food and we started to eat dinner and by this point anything is yummy to me and I ate with my friends and my dad because he also went on camp with me. After the yummy dinner we went swimming and luckily it was a inside swimming pool and it was not that cold. after playing with my friends I finally gone out we were a bit early so we could chat in our bunk rooms then it was time for the auction I didn't know if acution was first or the Ruru's got talent but we did not auction. It was such a mess lots of yelling but I decided not to bid because if they all waste there money ill have more money then the other then it was the Ruru’s got talent we were waiting for this moment after everyone else it was our turn and just by looking at my friends they looked nervous to and to be honest so did I. We were doing magic tricks and we were doing very well. We got 45/40, 5 extra points for such a good performance because Jf topped it of at last he did suck a amazing trick. We were positive we came first but after that amazing night we finally went to sleep or did we? Well that answer is that the other boys' bunk rooms were way to loud we couldn’t get to sleep until 1am but I managed to get some rest.
It is now day two of camp. We woke up early, somewhere near 5-6am. We got about 2 hours sleep and I was the first to wake up until Aiden woke up, then Blake A, then Vern, then Emmett, but Te hari was in a deep sleep. We chatted for a bit then Te hari woke up and we started getting dressed then everyone went into the auditorium for the role and we went to the cafeteria for breakfast and for today we have cereal fruit and bread and boy it was delicious. The leader said we were going outside the whole day so I made sure I ate lots. After that we then again went in the auditorium and there were 4 activities about one hour each long every tribe gets to do them. My Tribe (Tribe 4) went to low ropes where you get in a group of three and there were a couple low ropes you had to cross and if you do then you pass. my group of three was Dwayne, Jf and me. Then after awhile we did around the ropes where we have to do all of them with out falling and we get to grab something from the prize bag where you can get 5 camp dollars, 10, 20, 50 and 100 first Jf went and did finished it but was unlucky and got 5 dollars then me I was really lucky and got 100 dollars and then Dwayne did and got 20 not bad. After low ropes we ate morning tea, cake and some fruit. It was quick and fast after that we did rock climbing inside and it was really fun. My partner was Nixon. We were the catcher or you could say spotter just in case I fell. And I did great wall, one of the hardest then after me and Nixon did it for a bit and then everyone had to attempt around the world. That was REALLY hard. Nobody even came close except Tayla (good job!) Then we learnt about plants and trees and what they are good for. It was pretty cool and we got to explore and find cool rocks or cool leaves. Then we had to draw a leave we found and then we went to lunch, for lunch we ate more fruit and also nachos which was yummy it was my first time and then we did team recreation games I think it was called where you get split in two teams and there are a bunch of team activities we did we first did a cobweb where there's ropes connected like a cobweb and then we had to climb through the holes but we can only do one hole once but since we have more players we can do one twice. It took us awhile but we finally did it after that we did another cool but challenging looking one where we had to climb over this big as wall like 2 meters It took way to long because the last person was always the hardest to climb up but we finally did it Jf was our savior because the was the last person and he climbed it. Next we did one where there's like a 4 meter pole and a tire around the pole we had to lift it up, remove the tire then put it back on this was quite easy. Jf was on Jaydah’s back then Jf went up, got it out and then did it again in reverse. We had time for 1 more and that was fitting 8 people on this small platform for 5 seconds and then your all done. it took us about 5 mins and we did it then we went all the way back to eat dinner and then we went to swimming that was boring then it was the fun part we get to watch the movie sonic but first we did auction for candy and stuff then we get to watch the movie Sonic the hedgehog we watched about half way until we went back to our bunks and went to bed and luckily we sleeping at about 12:00.
Today was the last day of camp. Some people were super excited to go but some people wanted to stay. For me I was sad to go because camp is basically a 3 day sleepover with your mates/friends. Everyone got dressed and went to the auditorium and we did the role like every morning. It was now breakfast and we had toast and cereal like usual then after we ate we got a bit of free time then we played the animal survival game which is really fun you get to choose an animal you hunt or get hunted by and the highest rank is wolf which can kill any animal. I chose the lowest rank so the hunter that comes somewhere in the game won’t kill me then there's these stations of food and water you have to find them all and I did so I was proud. After that game we had morning tea and for morning tea we had something delicious that I completely forgot and then we had free time to pack up and stuff then we had lunch and I also completely forgot what we ate or if we even ate lunch but then it was time to go home luckily the bus came and we did not have to do the walk. We went to school then I went home and that's the 3 day camp we had c:
Drop of doom
Elsa was a nice kid but when it comes to dares she can be EVIL. She and her sister Anna were playing I dare you, Anna won and dared Elsa to jump in a hole. “It can’t be that deep right?” Elsa said, then she jumped after a few seconds she realized how deep it was, she immediately screamed for help but it was no use she started to get a grip on the rusty wood and it ended up cutting her skin. She saw the light at the top. As it got smaller she thought she was gonna die so she closed her eyes and thought about her family, Anna and some memories in her life. Then a piece of wood hit her then she opened her eyes and a piece of book caught her attention then she looked around there it was full of books by now she thought it was a never ending drop. After 20 mins bugs started to crawl on her. It was slimy and it went up her spine and she got the chills and she slapped her own back to try to kill it. She could smell the dead creatures around her. It smelt like rotten flesh as she imagined and She could feel her heart thumping 1,000 thumps per second. She managed to catch one of the books and started reading it. It was about the knowledge of ancient times. It's been about 6 hours since she had seen grass and her sister then seconds later she landed softly and she felt like there was no gravity and there was no gravity. It was a marshmallow land and it was filled with marshmallows. She opened her mouth and marshmallows went in her mouth. It was like she was in a dream until she heard a voice in her mind and it was her sister's voice Anna. She was confused then she felt something weird, then suddenly she woke up in a not so deep hole. It was the exact same spot of the deep hole she was confused but the hoped out and they went home and it was only 3:30 just after school but in the dream it felt like hours then she promised herself to never get close to the not so deep hole again and they never, ever, EVER played I dare you again and they lived happily ever after.
This weeks reading work is about Moari myth and legends. The WALT is analyse and evaluate actions and the story line of Moari myths and legends. This week I read the book kupu and the Giant wheke because it sounded like a cool book. our first create task was to get a sheet and describe what happened in your story you will see what I mean once I show you. then we had to write the reason why about a statement and my statement was Kupe’s problems with the wheke could have been resolved without violence. We had to write 3 statements and It was really hard for me and my favorite part well it not a part it just the story I was interesting and cool and the video was also quite cool. But what I hate was when we had to come up with 3 statements. Then we had to do a story map about what our story was about for example the setting, the problem, the action, etc. This was also quite fun because we can describe what was in the story and what happened and what they need to do to fix it but anyways I hope you enjoy looking as much as I do and hopefully next week will be much more better enjoy!
